So, anyone who knows me, has probably heard about my disaster with potty training Kaela. We started the month after she turned 2 and had an excellent start. That excellent start ended after 3 weeks and she was not fully potty-trained for over a year and a half. What a nightmare of her refusing to pee. It was the single worst thing I could have done for my relationship with her. I recommend now to EVERYONE to not start until their child is almost 3. I have no intention of teaching Eliora till we are well settled in Georgia.
But Kaela has other ideas. Just about every day, Kaela asks Eliora if she want to go potty. Eliora then goes into the potty, sits there, wipes off, washes her hands and does the whole thing again, usually 2-3 times. She has actually peed in the potty twice this week. I refuse to have any part of this, but Kaela it seems will be there and direct where I don’t want to. I cannot believe that my Kaela who was such a nightmare to potty train is now training her little sister.
that is WILD!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThe joys of older siblings.
ReplyDeleteNo one ever tells you how big a deal potty training is.
ReplyDeleteOh that is to cute!
ReplyDeleteOH YEAH! And then you thank Heavenly Father for sending you a girl first so she can do those kinds of things for you :) Same story here with Dawna and Naomi... "Naomi, wanna see how I go potty??? Wanna try it on your own Dora seat???" All this happening when I'm not even in the room... ahhh...
