Eliora just celebrated her 1st birthday! She turned 1 year old on Jan 27th.
Eliora Jean Johnson is a complete joy to our life. We call her our angel, (or Kaela calls her our princess) because she is always so happy. She smiles at everyone, tries to make friends with every person on the street or subway. At home she is a very content little one. We are so blessed to have such a sweet spirit in our home.
We had a fun day. Lee only had to work during the morning, so we took a stroller ride over to his work during the last patients and played with the Doctor Office toys while he finished up. We had lunch in a park and went over to Plaza Mayor (which was not nearly as exciting a plaza as I would have thought). From there we decided to go to the Chocolateria de San Gines. It was a very touristy thing to do – it is a very old café where they have always served primarily hot chocolate. Their walls are covered in photos of famous people who have been there. We ordered cups of chocolate and churros. Mmmmmmmm. Eliora had her fingers in my cup before I could stop her.
We came home and after dinner and we all had cake and ice cream! The cake was supposed to be a butterfly, but I think it looked much more like a white bat. Oh well, I’ve got limited resources in this kitchen. Eliora loved her first taste of ice cream. It was definitely a bigger hit than the cake, which she didn’t want to touch after two tastes of ice cream.
Happy birthday Eliora!
