May was a very, very busy month for us. Looking back on it, we really did fly through. I’ve chosen my favorite moments to share here:
ARVO: We flew to a conference where Lee got to present his research in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Lee was in conference most days, but the girls and I learned the bus system and went all over town. The biggest hit was the beach, but we also liked a cool day in the library and walking downtown.
Camping in Maine: As a congrats to ourselves, as soon as finals ended we took a 4 hour drive up to Lake St. George State Park in Maine. We camped for two nights and had a good time. The 2nd night Kaela screamed for most of the night (How Eliora slept, I don’t know.) and we were very glad to come home the next morning.
There was an old park there that had a really awesome old slide. It had been hugged by so many bottoms, that there were two bum holes worn away at the top of the slide. It’s kinda hard to see, but they’re there. They had also nearby an amazing adult-sized park. Picture a see-saw that is 15’ high, a slide that is 20’ long and a fort nearly 2 stories up. We had a lot of fun there.
Graduation: The first week of clinic ended with the ceremony where Lee got his Masters in Vision Science Degree. It was a very neat ceremony and I’m very glad I got to go. I’m so very proud of Lee!
Here is some footage of his receiving the degree, so you can all feel like you were there with me.
Springfield: Same day as graduation we left for western Mass where we have some friends and we stayed the whole weekend. We went to a park and saw part of a dog competition, their ward held a Luau (sp?) and Memorial day we went to Six Flags. I don’t think we took out the camera once during our whole trip.
That pretty well sums up the month!
Congratulations to Lee! Sounds like summer is starting off with quite a bang.
