Every step towards independence is a big one for us. One of our favorites is eating by herself - no more messy squashed stuff, no more bottle. Just fingers and cups and I think it is so great. (We're slowly working on the eating utensils, but it will be a while in coming.)
Some of the current favorites include: macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and chili.
Really, she doesn't complain about much. She will eat basically everything in front of her with the same neutral facial expression.
She does not like plain chicken much, but usually will eat it and not throw it.
But, yes, it is a very messy endeavor lots of the times. It is even worse when we leave her alone to finish up...
Isn't life for a one year old great?!
Ah, yes. Gotta love this stage! Just wait until you walk into the room to find spaghettios on the ceiling.....don't ask me how they do it!!
