The Days of a One Year Old: Playing

There are a variety of things that Kaela likes to do with her time.
Sometimes they involve actual toys - toys that have buttons and sing are a good investment.  Before I had her, I thought they were just babysitters, something that held a baby's attention.  Now I know that a baby has a lot of time in the day, for either playing and singing with mommy or just a toy - both are good.
And things involving action, like sliding down the slide and swinging have been great hits since she is big enough now.

But there are often better things that just toys.....

We have a big bin of shoes that she will pull them all out for me to see.  She's getting pretty good at it too - she will often bring me two of a pair.

This next trick combines several good past-times.  Pushing her stroller, climbing up things and playing the piano.  This is one I was surprised she didn't tip herself over and get hurt.

And, the sock still hasn't worn off.  Since she was 4 months old, she's been taking off her socks and eating them, but now she'll take any sock she can get.
Her laughs, giggles and smiles make being parents a great and wonderful thing.
