So we spent Thanksgiving with some friends from work – ate a lot of food and enjoyed good company. We had a lot of fun with the girls building up to it – we have a tradition that about a week or two before Thanksgiving we create a “Thanksgiving Turkey”. Every night we’re allowed to write something we’re grateful for on a feather and put it up on the turkey. I think we always tend to forget a few nights here and there, which is probably for the better or the bird would have way too many feathers to fit anywhere practical (and we would run out of things to think up). It’s nice to force yourself to recognize all the blessings the Lord has given you. And the girls had a lot of fun with it also. Kaela wrote each of hers out herself (hint on the fourth one: it’s written backwards. Ten points to the first person who can translate it correctly :-).
The day after Thanksgiving, the girls were very excited to set up the Christmas tree. We decided that since we now had such an open entryway, we couldn’t make do with our little 6’ Christmas tree any more. We decided to upgrade. . .
So, ten more points to the first person who can correctly guess how tall it is (and don’t give it away if we’ve already told you :-).
Wow that is a huge tree. It's real right? My guess would be 18ft?
