Happy Birthday, Lee!

Last week was my wonderful husband’s birthday.  He reached a huge milestone – the big 30.

Well, I didn’t want him to feel like he was getting old or anything silly like that, so instead of a grown up birthday celebration, we did something a bit more fun.

I set up a TREASURE HUNT.  Little did I know, but in our nice little suburban neighborhood there is a small forested area behind our house.  I set off with my kids to see what we could do. 

When Lee walked into the house after a long day at work, there was no one home to greet him.

Instead we had our shoes laid out like footprints to the back door.  I had set up clues the whole way around the pond and into the woods to find us.

We waited patiently and glad that Daddy didn’t get out of work late.

When Daddy found us, we had a candle-lit picnic dinner.

And came home for cake, ice cream, presents, and bedtime!

Happy Birthday Lee!  I hope it was a wonderful one.  We love you.
