Four Months Old

Darian is now four months old and he is growing and changing so much.   He is getting so heavy – he weighs 17 lbs, and when he is in his carseat, weighs more than Eliora.  (I have made an effort to ditch the carseat whenever possible.)  He is getting so strong.IMG_2263

With only a little support, he can sit up.  Now, I know that this is not true sitting and that the best is yet to come, it is definitely improvement. When I put him in his carseat, he strains those little stomach muscles to sit rather than recline and put straps on; or he loves to sit propped in the corner of the couch; he’ll sit up on my lap with my legs on both sides of him.

Darian has learned to “pump” himself and gets going pretty well, all by himself.

I believe the infant bouncer seat is heaven sent and by far the best “baby gear” I’ve ever had.  We often put him to sleep by bouncing him here.  It is so portable that he can be in the kitchen with, the office with Dad or by the table with the whole family.  Darian has mastered a trick that neither of my girls did….

(I enjoy the music, so hope you do too Smile )

And the crux of 4 months–Rolling Over!

And what every mommy of a 4 month old waits for – rolling over.  He rolled over for the first time Sunday and has been practicing ever since.  He is now semi-mobile and has more danger of falling off high places, but can’t really get out from where he is left.  He can’t be left on a flat surface without turning himself over now.

  1. Awesome post! I can't believe that he knows how to self-propell himself on the bouncer. And the rolling over was totally cute. He's a strong little man.
