For the next few weeks in West Springfield there is a gigantic fair going on. It’s called the Eastern States Exposition, or The Big E and it is the largest country fair in the NorthEast. So, we went with our friends Roger and Nieca and had a lot of fun.
There was so much to see and do. The place was HUGE. A couple things we didn’t do: the amusement park rides, the circus, the elephant rides, or see the largest pig in Guinness world records (enough sausage to feed 1000 people it said), but we did see, touch, smell and eat lots of stuff.
If you enjoy fried food, then a fair is the place for you. They had everything fried: hotdogs, oreos, snickers, broccoli, clams, cheesecake…. to name a few
This corn dog was 18” long. Yep, a foot and a half. It was enough to feed three people, but we ate it anyway, with just 2 & 1/2 .
They had an official Big E Cream Puff that was also good/ messy.
We saw parts of the equestrian show where all the horses had English saddles and teeny tiny riders
And a demonstration on sheep sheering.
We got to watch BMX stunt show too:
And walked through the Avenue of the States where they have built replicas of all the state houses in New England.
Roger and Nieca, who did a really cute pose, but I missed it while fiddling with the camera.
The petting zoo had all kinds of fun things to see and touch. Goats, sheeps, ducks…. Even a zebra.
We were all worn out by the end of the day.
The girls both fell asleep on the way home, so after transferring them upstairs, Lee and I went on a long motorcycle ride.
Looks like a ton of fun! What kind of stroller is that??
