Kaela Walking

Looking here, you may wonder why I bother posting at all. After all, Kaela will have changed so much in two months time, no one will recognize her. (I guess Lee and I won't have change too much.) But to satiate her public, we will give you a glimpse of her life as we know it now.

Kaela is now 11 months old and getting into everything at a rate her mother did not think possible. Before it was ok to pull all the socks out of the drawer, because the amount of time it took and fun it gave was disproportionate to the time it took to clean up. Those have reversed roles now in that the clean up takes up so much more time than the fun. She flows from emptying drawers, to cleaning all the DVDs of the shelf, to emptying the kitchen cupboards, to upending the basket of toys, to spreading the box of office supplies around the apartment. What do people do with larger houses!?! The desire for baby-locks is growing past my aversion to them.

I think she is saying, "Look Mom! The drawers are all empty! Hoorah for me!"

But most important of all, Kaela is just learning to walk! Watch:

(If you press the HQ button at the bottom here ^ then you will see it in better quality)

She is growing bigger, doing so much, learning tons and a blast to be with.

  2. I LOVE your video!!! It's so cute!!! (I wanna learn to make one like that!) Kaela's adorable as always. I'm pretty sure she could be on a postcard or something. Fun fun. And I totally get the "busy baby" scene. The baby running from one thing to the next while the mommy runs along behind trying to repair the destruction left in the child's path is a thing we all become experts on! You're an awesome mommy. POST MORE!!!! Ha ha! Oh, by the way, did you hear that Cindy Glines has cancer? I wasn't sure if you knew, and thought I'd pass the word along.

  4. Oh, that is SOOO adorable! She is just such a beauty! So, the thing that makes me laugh most is that Lawrence, a full three months older, just learned to walk a week ago... and really, he still prefers crawling... all well... I guess the upside is that he hasn't been all that "into" stuff since he can't reach as many drawers and shelves just crawling. Looks like you three are living it up out there on the east coast... keep havin' fun!
